Book Review: SEA SCOUNDREL by Annette Blair

Title: Sea Scoundrel (Knave of Hearts Book 1)
Author: Annette Blair
Category/Genre: Historical Romance
My Star Rating: 4/5

Goodreads Blurb:
ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT....Independent Lay Patience Kendall had given up on love. Agreeing to help four hapless American girls find titled British husbands was only a cofortable way to earn her passage back to England. Life on board Captian Grant St. Benedict's ship was anything but comfortable, however. The arrogant mariner did nothing but infuriate Patience - and arouse her cuiosity about the rugged man beneath the captain's uniform. One kiss might not ruin her reputation, but it was a tempting invitation to claim even sweeter delights......

My Review:
This was such a fun historical romance! The constant squabbling between Grant and Patience was hysterical and totally added to the tension when things switched from heated to HOT. Their similarly haunted pasts created a believable bond between them that truly made this romance one worth rooting for. They both had their own ambitions, and neither of them wanted what they couldn't fight against - love. I will say I think the innocence bit was taken a little far. It was very awkward to read the Captain explaining exactly where his not-so-little thing was supposed to go during... relations. When he changed from hunky Grant to creepy biology teacher I literally squirmed until it was over. Also, as mentioned on other reviews, some clean up is needed proofreading wise. Still, I loved this book!
